Shawn Aiken has 32 years’ experience as a trial lawyer and 28 years’ experience as a neutral in litigation and arbitration, especially business tort and contract cases. In 2015, he was admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is listed in “The Best Lawyers in America”® (2007-2025) in commercial litigation, mediation, and arbitration and Super Lawyers’ “Top 50 Arizona Lawyers” (2009-2026). He has mediated over 1000 cases and arbitrated over 300 cases to final award. He was selected by Best Lawyers in America as Lawyer of the Year 2012 and 2015 (Mediation, Phoenix) and 2019, 2021 and 2026 (Arbitration, Phoenix). In 2017, he was appointed to the CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals: Arbitrator and Mediator, Real Estate Panel, and Phoenix ADR Panel. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators and the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters.

When registering, please indicate your choice of REGULAR entrée or VEGAN entrée.

Regular: Braised Beef Brisket, tzimmes (simmered and seasoned root vegetables and dried fruits), roasted fingerling potatoes, mushroom sauce on the side. (gluten-free)

Vegan: Potato latke and grilled vegetable tower (red bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, asparagus) and sun-dried apple sauce.

All meals served with salad (romaine, English cucumbers, tomatoes, Italian dressing on the side), rolls and butter, and salted caramel cheesecake with fresh strawberry compote (please advise if you want a vegan dessert).  Iced tea and water pitchers will be on the tables and coffee in the rear of the room.

1. The guest must be eligible for membership in the Scottsdale Bar Association. See www.scottsdalebar.org, click on Membership Information, then Membership Categories.

2. The guest cannot be a former Scottsdale Bar member.

3. The guest cannot have attended lunch for free in the past.

4. The member must attend the luncheon with the guest.

5. The member must register him/herself for the luncheon, then contact Paige Martin at paigemartinesq@aol.com with the guest’s name and email address, and choice of regular or vegan meal, so that she can register the guest. Member registration and the request for guest registration must be completed before the registration cut-off on the Friday before the luncheon, at noon.

6. The member can only invite one guest to any luncheon.

7. The member is responsible for following up with his/her guest after the luncheon to invite the guest to join Scottsdale Bar.

8. The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of guests attending each luncheon.
