RSVP DEADLINE IS NOON ON FRIDAY, July 6. In order to receive the pre-paid luncheon price of $25 for law student members/$30 for all other members/$35 for non-members, you MUST pre-pay with your credit card on the website BY THE RSVP DEADLINE. DO NOT MAIL IN CHECKS. If you make a reservation but do not pay on the website with your credit card, you must pay an additional $5 at the door ($30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members) by check or cash. After the registration deadline has passed, we do not take additional reservations. However, you may attend without a reservation as a walk-in, provided we have space. Capacity and spaces available are listed on the registration page. Walk-ins must pay $30 for law student members/$35 for all other members/$40 non-members, check or cash. Our capacity is limited, so we strongly recommend that you register by the deadline and prepay on the website using a credit card in order to ensure that you will have a place to sit and your requested meal.
Cancellation Policy:
If you prepay for the luncheon and cancel after the RSVP deadline of NOON on the Friday before the luncheon, we cannot provide refunds. Reservations that are not prepaid by the RSVP deadline, and are either cancelled after the RSVP deadline or “no shows,” will be billed at the at-the-door price. We are required to guarantee the number of meals to Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and we pay for those meals even if you must cancel after the RSVP deadline.

Please join us for a discussion of the hot topics in drone law which you may encounter in your practice.
 
1. Privacy. An overview of federal, state and local law regarding the present state of drone privacy laws in Arizona.
2. Liability. An overview of the current accident database, pending lawsuits and potential liability trends.
3. Regulations. An overview of Federal Aviation Administration regulations, commercial use, and the waiver process.
4. Future issues. An overview of what the future holds from this practitioner.
 
All of the above sprinkled with interesting and amusing aviation and drone stories. Please join us for a fun and informative CLE regarding UAV’s (Drones).

Timothy McCulloch focuses his practice in business and commercial litigation with particular emphasis on the aviation industry. He represents numerous commercial aircraft operators, flight schools, fixed-based operators and airport sponsors. Mr. McCulloch represents banking institutions seeking to judicially or non-judicially foreclose upon aircraft loans. He has defended aircraft operators, fixed-based operators and airport sponsors against negligence claims, and has first-hand experience with airport land use, Part 16 complaints, permitting, noise, hangar condominium development, environmental, and grant assurance compliance issues. 

Mr. McCulloch has substantial experience with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). He has negotiated Letters of Agreement (LOA) for near airport operations and consulted with UAV and UAS operators in obtaining Section 333 waivers, COA's, and SAC's as well as FAA regulatory compliance. He is with Dickinson Wright in Phoenix.

1.  The guest must be eligible for membership in the Scottsdale Bar Association.  See www.scottsdalebar.org, click on Membership Information, then Membership Categories.

2.  The guest cannot be a former Scottsdale Bar member.

3.  The guest cannot have attended lunchfor free in the past.

4.  The member must attend the luncheon with the guest.

5. The member must register him/herself for the luncheon, then contact Paige Martin at paigemartinesq@aol.com with the guest’s name and email address, and choice of regular or vegetarian meal, so that she can register the guest.  Member registration and the request for guest registration must be completed before the registration cut-off on the Friday before the luncheon, at noon.

6.  The member can only invite one guest to any luncheon.

7.  The member is responsible for following up with his/her guest after the luncheon to invite the guest to join Scottsdale Bar.

8.  The Board of Directors reserves the right to limit the number of guests attending each luncheon.
